PPCP Online Pathetic Customer Service - DO NOT BUY

Personally I feel that there's someone from PPCP lurking around the forum...cos the last time I asked regarding a tripod, some one seems to introducing PPCP stuff.But harks ... for a newbie like me I prefer to see first then buy.

Two scenario, first is, they might have read it, and decide not to reply or take action on it, for fear that it might make other readers think that by posting your grievances here, you get first hand priority. Further more, taking a risk, there are bound to be some buyers with good expereicnes who will defend their current status.

Like most forums, if one is not bitten, one will preach the dog as harmless.

scenario two, these things happens not to you only. And by dragging on, most Singaporeans will just suscept to faith and forget about the money since we singaporean are just so well brought up and peace loving. They may have more "expensive" case to deal with than yours and if they compile all these complains together they might come up with gigantic book and term it as literature. Since most avid complainers can write rather well and are brave enough to have their complains published in public eyes.

Since you can find their address in Singapore, why not just drop by their place and ask for Jeremy ? For all you know this could even be a fictitious name.... Just like David, jack or mary ... we know at least one of them as our friends.

You must also be careful in case they make a counter allegation that goods was in good conditon until you received it. I am not saying that it will happen but it could. And by doing so, you are a ******* and the seller as a customer orineted company they might make you wait for a loooong time since you ever tried to dislodge their reputation.

I empathize with you lokety, I do come across issues like yours albeit not in photography items. My perspective would be to continue your allegations but be aware not to put yourself in a disadvantage by making comments that they might use against you.

If in doubt, restrain your comments and rephrase it in a politically correct manner. =)

all these conspiracy theories are ridiculous, since one could just as easily say that all the negative feedback here is started by people from competing online shops/real front shops. so it is to me, nonsensical whenever people make such statements.

fact is fact, ppcp products compared to most other products on the market, you get a lot more bang for buck, which is why SO MANY people have recommended it, if you do not post a lot let me assure you that it is a mixed number of users giving the positive comments and recommendations.. for someone giving advice to be "restrained" you are certainly off to a blooming start yourself.

to reply to lokety and the rest. we just received the new batch of tripods (since the last round). lokety's tripod was the last that we had in stock at the time he ordered. It has been a long delay and the tripod needed a replacement (he called and emailed to explain that the tripod was damaged). Incidentally while preparing to call lokety's brother to inform that i can send him the replacement, someone pm'd me to respond to this thread (thank you) and so I shall post here before making the call.

- Tripod was delivered within 2 days to the person's house. He was not in and Nat requested to put tripod in the house (private house). Lokety was overseas.
- Received call that tripod's mechanism (the button you press to adjust angle of legs) broke. We were baffled and suspected that it was not released when pulled open and could be forced open but did not comment. Agreed to replacement once we had available stocks.
- Was informed to contact his brother to arrange replacement as he was overseas
- Did not have available stock till this week (March 9, 2008)
- Replacement is ready to be delivered to him (March 11, 2008) and Nat has taken a day's annual leave to deliver it. Cheers!

This is another online shop to beware. Ordered a giottos blower and lenspen pack from them in early December 2007. They did inform me that the lenspen pack was out of stock, and i was told the new stock would be coming in 2 weeks time. So i waited for another 2 weeks, still the same answer. They kept telling me that they will inform me when the stock is in but no answer till now. And, no refund too.

And, they informed me that they sent out the giottos blower to me but i didnt receive.

Till date, i did not receive both items and i did not receive the refund. I sent various emails to them but no reply so far.

Anyone has gotten any bad experience with this particular online shop too?

Have ordered items from them for 4-5 times, ranging from tripod, filters to Digimate. So far no problem with their service ;)
 

I have gotten another bad experience with the online shop at www.onlineshop.com.sg
I have lost faith in buying from these online shops and no longer trust them for now. :angry:

He mentioned he sent you several emails but to no reply. So wat happened to his email? Do PPCP only react when buyers start complaining in the forum?
 

Hi muvouser, logically speaking, if PPCP only reacts when buyers start complaining, PPCP Online would not have any buyers to begin with because everyone would be complaining. PPCP Online tries its best to serve its large customer base which grows each day - currently over 1000++ unique customers from all over Singapore and the world. Plenty of our customers have been delighted with our service, but we have unfortunately not been able to serve all our unique customers to their satisfaction at times and it is when you read posts here etc. For emails such as the one you mentioned, sometimes they are overlooked or are filtered out as spam - we've had that happened a couple of times already. of coz I don't post much ... I have more rewarding things to do in life besides clocking up numbers ...
Anyway, represenative from PPCP had started posting and replying ... so I think the thread serves its purpose. =) ... so chill bro.

as ParkertR has come forward and settled the issue, i suggest any more private grievances be settled in PMs. thread closed.
