PowerShot S90! users.. Come In!!

Woke u up, didnt it? Haha. Seldom do we find a camera that will make us wake up immediately these days. =P

Anyway, i thought of gaffering tape that portion of the camera when i get it (soon, i hope). But if you've not gathered enough "kakis" in buying the custom grip, i might be interested in getting it as well. =P (Actually, i think we can DIY the grip..)
How do you DIY the grip? Interested in getting a grip for my S90 :)

just called SLR revo and was quoted $650 cash for S90 cam with 8gb SD card & case. Parisilk HV is $659 with the same freebies. any better deals guys ? helping my fren ask as she like to get the cam by tonight. Thanks in advance ! =)

This is from MS Color e-quote I got from Florence.

Brand: Canon
Model: S90
S90----$660(inc.gst) free 8 g card,case from agent
free lcd protector worth $13.50 from mscolor..

Not much diff from some of the best deals in this thread except for the free LCD protector :)

Yes, guess these are almost the best deals, but for those not staying near center, not worth go AMK... SLR revo should be good. Parislik did not give LCD protector.

There are a few post in front if not wrong, mentioned about a cheap add on grip to be purchased

I am interested too. Anyone starting an MO?
Thanks!

Hi all, I'm new.. been lurking for awhile and finally decided to sign up! (:

Anyway, I'm also interested in the grip as the s90 ergonomics isnt the best thing. Would be awesome if someone could start a MO?

Cheers

Yup I know...already saw it thx. Exploring alternatives, esp if can get cheaper and faster ;p If not good alternative, then I probably will try to get that one.

It really confirm the low light ability of this cam. Too bad I do not have any budget for this, by the time I got money maybe already got new comers..

For me it is a cheaper alternative to getting prime lens w/o lugging around all the weight.
Some more shots here:

stunning shots.
Did you just shot them in low light mode?

Low light mode is bullshit to me. It is not better than normal mode.

Nope, I turned off the flash, set to 'auto' and let the camera do the rest of the work. I just focused on framing. Having fun with it.

Got my S90 1+weeks ago and saw this sun bird attacking my laundry yesterday, so I took a shot. I am pretty impressed. :)

It isn't sharp if I zoom in into the picture and look at the edges all the time.
However, as a whole image, it does produce pretty sharp pictures.
After 2 weeks, I am still very impressed with it. enjoy taking in low light conditions now (without flash) with good tonal qualities and usable iso 800.

I'm still considering because as for Canon Ixus p&s camera, the quality is sharp(base on LCD screen, due to HD technology?) So, I'm stuck in between. It's handy for overseas trip.

Where to buy this leather case ah? =X

To the post above asking abt how to DIY a grip, my very simple and down to earth solution will be to gaffer tape the part where i will grip most often. =X Or, you can source for those anti-slip grip stickers and stick it on to the camera. =)

Canon Shop in Harbourfront, U wun miss it or ask the staff, they claim only have 1 leather case for S90 at $39.

Good luck to your purchase.
