hi, just want to ask what is the price of S3 now, thanks

Hey guys, do you all ever encounter and error message asking you to restart the S3?

Especially after you zoom in/out fully and quickly reverse the direction?

Thanks.:)

How? these picts can make it?

i think u might want to get a F11 instead with ur current S3... at least it dun burn a pocket... i guess F11 is already have quite good nite shot in the earlier days....

Hi khee

thanks for the suggestion...kept me thinking. After seeing tomcat's F30 and S6500fd shots, I sold my 4 mth old IS3.

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=213841&page=4

I bought my wife the F30 and kept comparing shots at high ISOs, the S6500fd shd have similar traits with ultrazoom to boot.

Guess I got tired of having to pop the flash for low light or even indoor shots, I up the ISO and the noise gets to me (after comparing with the F30). I tot online reviews of the F30 were exaggerated until I saw pics in the forum and tried one personally.

But save for the low light, the IS3 has what I'd want in a non DSLR. Well, I can't have them all, the IS3 records stereo and zooms silently and its swivel LCD puts 2 up over the S6500fd which does not zoom quietly and no swivel LCD.

Hi leeweelee, nice colour.

#1, looks a bit blur/soft....got use tripod?

#3&4 are nice.

#5, slanted and the big lantern seems overexposed....did you try expose less?

BTW, for S3 pics, please post here, as more people will be viewing there to give you comments.

Thanks, i do not know why its a bit blur. a tripod is used, but at time the auto focus do not want to do its job.about the overexposed lantern its my fault as i wanted to get the starry light out of the pics so overexposed. will try to improve. any problem with the auto focus and anyway to make it less blur/soft?

Its is brightly lit obj, the AF should be doing it's work....but dun try to focus at the bright or shinny part. To ensure focus obj for scenaries like this you can always use MF set to "infinity". Or best is to focus at the hyperfocal distant, read this thread.

Btw, f4 is the sharpest aperture for S3....but if you 1 starburst on the light, no choice, use f8. PS after that loh.:)
