This is one of the first few pictures taken. I was lying down in bed, playing with the camera, when my toes came into the picture. I zoomed in and took the picture. Auto setting.

I still cannot post attachments. Maybe there is no such feature? So, I am using photobucket.com. So here goes ...

mind if i ask - is the camera case water-resistant?

how much do i have to pay if just buying the camera case? (i presume you bought it together with the new S3 and hence got a cheaper price).....

When you flip over the flap, there is an inner compartment which is zipped all round. The camera is fully enclosed within the zipped compartment. The box says "Weather resistant nylon fabric".

I was quoted $25 over the phone by both MS and AP but when I went down to AP to buy the camera, they offered this bag (as well as a leather Canon bag) for $15 each. I chose this bag.

Nice bag. I heard about tis nylon bag before I bought my S3, but AP told me dun have when I bought my S3.....

Wow! When I saw it, I tot NakedToes posted it! :bsmilie:

I don't see a course for the S3. I suppose we choose the one for the S2?

I attended the one last evening. Excellent training session from 7pm to 9.30pm. Would have been complete with a practical session but of course not possible due to time constraints.
ic.. wat do u learn dere?

I was there, too. :D

The course is pretty comprehensive. A good opportunity for the <Auto> mode users to step out of the comfort zone to be more adventurous and do more with their cams.

I would have preferred a more hands-on session over the lecture-style workshop.

Everything covered in the course can be found in the user manuals (basic+advanced).
If you can't get a slot or find it a hassle to make it there, you can pick all these up by yourself.

Happy voting.

P/S: Anyone going to the Lower Pierce outing this weekend?

Hey guys,

just got quotaion from MS color, but then stock arriving on 15th May and I need it by 12th May as flying overseas liao..

Anyone know what is the latest price over at AP?

Basically what we can do with non-auto functions and some basic digital photography techniques like focus lock, shutter & aperture priority.
Sure, one can pick it up from the manual but I was like trying out everything the trainer was saying and asking a lot of questions. The session was definitely a lot more useful than trying to fiddle with the camera using the manual.
Of course, it would be ideal if there is a practical session but that would probably stretch the whole training to midnight! :)
Anyway, hope they would have a separate practical session. Perhaps can join their canongraphers outing.
