Jackals,

AP sells the "7 in 1" Canon nylon case with mini tripod and cleaning case for $15, together with the S3. I got one even though I was strongly encouraged to choose the leather Canon case. No regrets. It is cool. The S3 fits snugly inside. There are many pockets for my spare batteries, AV cable, extra SD card and even the mini-tripod. MS Colour sells the same case for $25.

Whitelion,

Maybe ... but I have not even attended a single PPCSG gathering, even though i am a very "old" member.
hi tks, txs for the additional info.
i'm actually looking for a bigger capacity bag i.e apline lowe that can store many stuffs

I hope that AP has the stock... May get one tomorrow.

Recently bought the s3. Quite happy with until I download onto pc for viewing. Was quite disappointed with the noise at iso 800. Here is an example.

In fact, anything above 400 is already quite noisy.

Welcome comments from others who are already using the cam.

Camera gaterh good......but I am from SPUG.......not PPC:sticktong hahaaha!

geez.. looks bad. i'm an S2 user.. mind if i comment on my experiences? i always try to use ISO settin of 50.. worst case i use iso 100. anythin above dat is considered v. noisy already.. a bad thin is i always haf to bring along a tripod. but well, dere's always a price to pay.. rather carry some extra weight den to compromise e noise level.

haha...jackal and lastboltnut....i am the guy hu went with u 2 la...

O! It's you har? O liao, can't remember the nick you told me......but WhiteLion bought his S3 at AP around 5pm also, so I thought itz you! Ha!

lol..now u noe hu ler....so hows yr s3?...enjoy playing ard nia...

I think nite shooting without a powerful flash will definitely need a tripod. That's why I bought my tripod with me even when I travel to Europe on a free and easy trip!

I just realised something......if you need the flash, you have to flip it up.......it doesn't pop up automatically.......

hahaz.. how powerful can a flash be? if for e case of takin buildins like our CBD area, a powerful flash wld hardly get u anywhere.. u nid smth like a lightnin to illuminate e buildins. night sceneries often nid long shutter speed.. a tripod wld be e most useful. even a monopod mite nt really help..

got the cam from MS at $760 last week. can someone kindly post a picture of the 7-in-1 bag which is going for $25 ($15 if you get the cam)? is it your regular-sized camera bag? i'm currently using a crumpler and i find that i do not have additional space for my batteries etc. might go back to MS to pick it up. :)

For a good pic for night scenes, a slave flash will come in handy. There are a few brands selling and can be bought for under $100. Some brands are Sunblitz, Emoblitz, etc.
