hi, thanks for helping, have you tried S2 - IS, is the S3 much better than S2, or just simply, u recommend it or not I was looking for a good camera around 700-800$ and dont know much, thanks.

Wow... U sure have quite a few canon cameras huh? I'm actually considering between the FZ7 and S3. Wonder if you have any comments on this comparation? Both are new and same class and nearly similar price range.

I've seen some pics of these on the net from other websites and seems like the S3 gives much softer images whereas the Fz7 is v sharp. But noise wise, I'm not too sure.

Yup... I having the same dilemna.... From what i see FZ7 noise is pretty bad... but my understanding is the sharpness contribute to this... Can someone give some comments between the two?

This is the big question mark in my mind. Sharp+more noise or soft+less noise. Which is better? Is it easy to use a software to clean up noises? Pros... pls help. :dunno:

Yes, I have S1-is, S2-is and the S3-is....if you ask me..S3 is is improvement to the S2-is with quite a number of new features.

Kodak Pendrive? 1GB SD $79 2GB $139
Free 256MB card must collect from Canon

I also checked with Alan Photo in Sim Lim:
Price of camera and case is similar
Sanyo 2500mAH rechargeable AAs are sold at $3 to $3.50 each depending on salesman and whether it comes with the plastic case.

Did not check price of cards there but Active Foto in SLS sells cards quite cheaply

2GB u mean.. 2MB can hardly take a single picture. ha.. well, haf been usin kingston normal speed SD card since i gt my S2. it's rather decent if u haf a card reader..

MS color located at ang mo kio central beside S11 kopi-shop, u just get off from the mrt & walk across to the interchange. if u LOST, ask the people around, they'll know it.:bsmilie:
