Yeah, I've read through the manual and it mentioned adjustment of ISO Speed only for P, Tv, Av and M modes.

That mode will give priority to freezing the action and hence, if you are shooting under lower lighting conditions like indoor, the cam will up your ISO. I think that's why you are getting the grainy pics. Try it outdoors on a bright sunny day and see if you still have the problem.
