Powerex Batteries - urgent

Just got back from Peninsular...

Got a Powerex MH-C801-D charger for S$129. I get 1 set of 4 AA Ni-MH batteries (2500mAh) + 1 set of 4 AAA ni-MH batteries (900mAh) as free gifts.

Also bought 2 sets of Powerex 4 AA Ni-MH batteries (2700mAh) for S$15 each set... was quoted S$20 but there was a discount...

Total = S$159... not too bad I guess... the charger comes with a 3-year warranty...

So now I have 24 AA Ni-MH batteries... woohoo!!! No need to bring charger on holiday anymore!!!

An urgent request...

Are Powerex batteries any good? I saw in the papers at Sitex for S$15 for 4 AAs... anyone bought these? What's the capacity like? Does Eastgear still sell them at this price?

I'm leaving this Friday and I need another 8 batteries - also want a fast charger that can charge 8 batteries at one go - preferably 1 hour charger or faster... any recommendations... must be less than S$150?

Thought it's $20 for 4. $15 for 4 you must buy something else i think, a charger or something...

The batteries are very good. I use LaCrosse charger so i can see how much mAh the batteries peaked at. I have a set of 4. For now, they usually peaked at 2900mah to 3000mAh + - each time... impressive. :thumbsup:

The trade-in is ON only when there is a promotion. Also, they accept trade-in of ANY brands of rechargeables. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I think the current promotion is stated HERE.

Think the usual trade-in trend is usually during PC shows.
