Potential owner of new D700

Just checking two of the Usa sites, Adorama and B&H on D700, sold out again. limited production ???..from the news, Nikon has resumed the production in Japan ...

Probably slowing down production if there is an impending announcement of a replacement...
speaking of which, what happened to the announcements?

Can feel that u got poison too.. Bns, u need to check every hour for good buy, some are selling at high price. Msia should have adjusted the price up too due to shortage of parts fm thai, can try if u want to stop the poison staying in u mind.. Haha

if you just want to take awesome pictures and features that doesn't get in your way the D700 is perfect in my opinion. Btw, you do know it doesn't take videos right? Just in case you're up to that feature. Good luck.

thats will depend only on you. i bought mine this jan for $2450, SC 2500. as good as new to me.

you might want to make sure you have enough for FX lenses first.
the lenses i buy are all FX even when using D90, like i bough the tamron 28-75mm instead of the 17-50mm knowing that i'll be going for D700.

when I bought my D700 it had 1-2 hot pixels on the sensor. Sent it for pixel map with nikon singapore. Came back with like many more hot pixels....

In the end, they chose a "golden" unit with no hot pixels and replaced my set. Not all D700 are the same...

Every sensor has hot pixels. It is just mapping that make sure some do not show. If a remap did not do the trick, send it in again. Sometimes the automated software used in NSC is not able to remap all hot pixels but that doesn't mean it is a lemon.

I thought it is in the region of RM5800 - RM6000 in KL.
