like the cutting of the head... unless it's meant as a traditional portriat... then maybe cannot cut head, left space must crop off... etc. think the tilt, crop and off centered look makes this a nice mordern portrait. what you think? :)

Yep, the head does not disturb me. Infact it was done intentionally to rid the HDB flats behind her. I thought it was quite justifiable for that.

Thanks Exc,

again, superb portrait ! nicely done  ;)

I like the feel, and the contrasty colour-- how did you get it like that?

There's no trick to it. Simply observe natural light. See where the lights are coming from and set your camera settings. I have many friends who does not believe in natural lightings. However, I think natural lighting can equally, if not better than studio lightings. The only problem is you have the follow the light and not the light follow you. This is the part which requires your sharp observation, and creativity. A photographer's eyes are the most important thing in photography. Cultivate and sharpen your senses by observing your surrounding. Move around to find a good location. Always keeping in mind how the lights are going to fall on the person's face.

Hi,

I myself believe greatly in natural lighting, coz I think the color spectrum range is rich. Also, because I always mess up with flash :( photography so far.

hehehe:cool:
