The TS-E 17mm, because it made me want to buy the damn 24 TS-E as well.

50L as I dont always use it.
Should hv get something ard that price if I get use ut daily

I am really surprised by the large number of people that voted for 17-40mm. I just bought a ff camera and I was intending to get the 17-40mm next month or so. Because very honestly, its significantly cheaper than the 16-35mm

Is the softness at the corner really that bad? i understand there will softness if we zoom to 100% crop at 17mm but what about normal viewing on the computer or printing at a4 size?

Is the softness at the corners still really bad at around f6-8 range at 17mm?

I voted for the 85 1.2L mk 2.

I mean it is a good lens. Great bokeh, and sharp at F1.2, but i still preferred using the 135L and the 70-200. The 85 is just a little too fat and short, and limited usage for me.

One man's meat is another one's poison. Love the 85L2 so much. Nicer color and bokeh than my previous sigma 85 1.4. Thanks for selling me.. ;)

I voted for 24L2. A bit not here not there for me. The lens is very nice, sharp and contrasty but I am happy with what I can get from 24-70 2 or even 16-35 2 at 24mm. 35 1.4 is much better buy than 24L2.

I too am surprised at the response towards the 17-40. It is one of my favourite lenses. For significantly more money you don't get that much improvement with the 16-35. Unless you are a professional, there's no need to buy the 16-35 in my opinion. The 17-40 serves the wide angle market well. Having said that, it would be nice if Canon could produce a response to the amazing Nikon 14-24 lens.

hehe yes, definitely nice color and bokeh, just that i prefer longer working distances for street candids when overseas. Glad to know you are enjoying the lens!

no surprise at all if you think about how statistic works.

Most popular lens is also the most regretted lens naturally becoz of huge no of ppl who own this lens

My greatest regret is my first purchase of the kit lense (18-55mm) and the additional (70-300mm) packages together. if given a choice i would have jus bought only the body alone.

Finally did my research for almost 3-4months and finally purchased my 17-55mm IS USM. Best value lense ever, except really cannot use for ff. but in future we can always own both a ff and a crop sensor dslr. So no big deal. =)
