Polaroid Q-Light

So I recently acquired a Polaroid OneStep with the Q-Light flash, but I can't seem to open the battery cover. Push and pull but to no avail. :\ Could someone help?

Also tried unscrewing the two screws at the bottom of the flash, but I don't think that does anything.

(While attempting this my brother scratched the battery cover. I key-ed his computer.)

(Discovered the scratches while taking a picture -_-)

Does anyone know how? I don't want to pull open the battery cover and ruin the entire flash.

Tried pushing it in (a little) while sliding it down (pull)?

Woops. Turns out the battery inside corroded :\ I stuck it to a vise and pulled it out, and then used vinegar to get rid of the corrosion. Washed it down and let it dry inside rice. Working fine with 4 AA batteries.
