Polaroid Gathering! Anyone? :)

Hi everyone!

It's me Eamesboy here!
You guys can call me Xavier!

After, years of collecting Polaroids is alway my dream
to do a mini gathering for Polaroid lovers in Singapore. :bsmilie:

Do not have to be a big events just a small outing for
Polaroid lover or people who like to know more about Polaroid
and meeting more friends!

I do not have any plan yet!
I would love all you guys here in ClubSnap to input some ideas! :bsmilie:

To make things more fun we could do a :
1. A Walk about (1-2 hours)? OR
2. A small Competition. This will be fun! ha ha!

For this competition maybe we could do 2 -3 theme out of 10 shots?
Choose your 2 -3 best pictures out of the 10 shot and submit and see who got the best pictures!

It will be a one day events! Cause, Polaroid take instant pictures so it much easy to
do the judging on the day itself!

Now the hard part! :sweat:
1. Who want to be the Judges on that day?
2. What kind of Theme?
3. Last! What Prize to win? ha ha :bsmilie:

Hope you guys could give me some input!
It's not about winning the prize here it more like a passion of taking good pictures
and meeting friend who share the same interest!

Please post all ideas and input here in this thread!

I just thought of this! :think:
This little competition is for 600 film polaroid user only!
That included SX-70 Polaroid and SLR folding polaroid!

Cause, pack film camera can be a bit hard.
Reason of it is most med format cameras come with polaroid back too.
So, it not to fair for people who has Hasselblad, Mamiya, Bronica and so on! :dunno:

To make thing much fun for this little competition is only for 600 film Polaroid only.

Nothing is confirm yet!

Please post more ideas on this thread!

Hmmm...

Spectra and 600 series Polaroid are very much different.
It something like 120mm film vs 35mm film.

Very hard to get this two polaroid together.
I think we should standardize what you think?

what about LIFE? like life in Singapore. i like candid pictures with strong emotions.

well, for the prize. unless somebody wants to fork out some cash. or we can like have a paying entry competition so that someone can bring home the cash prize or something.

LIFE! Life In Singapore Life about people in Singapore in all walk of Life!

Why 2 theme? To get two good pictures is not easy yet is not too hard.
Reason of me to choice Singapore flyers and Vintage Singapore
is because it a simple theme to start with and everyone in any race can join too.
And it will be much easy for the judges to choice the best few pictures in a very short time.
Like i say is will be a one day events. So, time to start and end is very much important also.
I need everyone to give me more ideas on the theme on that day.

Paying entry competition are one of my plan and also one of the best option.
Getting people to pay a small amount will somehow make the competition
much more interesting? I come out this entry fee.

Fee :
$10 each.
$8 for students.

NS boys sorry you have to pay $10 also. :bsmilie:

Everyone, please give me your opinion on this.
