Not sure if this is the right place to post but it's larger than 35mm and before digital.

I've got a Polaroid Coolcam which seems to be faulty. the green light is there when i open the flash but nothing happen when i press the shutter. Thinking that maybe the battery is weak since the film is expire, I went to get a fresh pack of PX 680 but nothing happen even when the green light is on... :(

Anyone know of places where i can fix the camera? Thanks in advance.

Hi. There are a number of camera stores like Peek or ThirthyThree here in Singapore that deal and sell Polaroids but I honestly don't think it would be worth you trying to even repair it as the cost may be much higher than getting another one. If you look around the forums you'll see others selling 600s for less than $100 or SX-70s for between 200-400. I own a 600 which does work but has a faulty flash. Was told not to bother with the cost of repairing it.

Just my thoughts.

thanks for the reply.

I saw peek selling the pink coolcam at $240. dont think i wanna pay that amount. will still prefer to fix it if possible cause you dont really get to see red polaroid around. :)

Last i heard, peek's impossible project space do repairs or try sgcamerastore

Hi. You may want to ask for help from the owner of Snapshot Asia (Snap Shop | Analog Photography!) as well. He may be able to hook you up with the specialist Polaroid SX-70 shop in Hong Kong where they do Polaroid repairs.
