Please recommend bridge camera

Do note that spot metering on canon bodies (with the exception of 1d series) only does metering at the center AF spot.

On Nikon system, spot metering happens at the selected AF point.

Not sure of other camera systems. But I think most other systems does it similar to Nikon.

Similar to the Sony bodies. Spot metering at the spot AF point. But all the ranges of entry to pro have spot metering i think

from what i see, only the 1000D and 1100D does not have spot metering. The 600D also carries spot metering and seems like the cheapest model so far..

Between the entry level EOS XXX and EOS XXXX models and the mid range EOS XX series, am i correct to say that i am paying for a penta prism instead of a penta mirror, more rugged build for the body (Alloy vs plastic) and some advanced features?

The crop factor of the sensor are both the same right? being APS-C.

I really don't mind getting a really old EOS XX series body like maybe 30D or a 40D.

Or would you guys recommend that i get a EOS XXXX series one instead.

The XXD models also comes with AF fine tune, an indispensable feature if you ask me.

And avoid the 60d.

They give you a swivel LCD but removed the mag alloy body and removed the AF fine tune feature.

Go for the 50D or 7D. And skip the 60D.
