Please recommend a DVD player/recorder

I am thinking of buying a DVD player with recording function and can play VCDs...etc.
Is it important to buy a player with internal hard drive/storage?

please advise on model and price too.

wats your preference , dvd movies , or more for recording of programmes so that u will not miss?

simple dvd player at less than 100 will do,

i intend to use it mostly to record stuff from the TV and perhaps from VCD?

That budget won't get you DVD recorder with HDD storage. I think the cheapest in Benq/Samsung with 80 GB HDD ard 699. I just got pioneer myself but only can use DVD-R or DVD-RW. The best actually is LG this player able to record on DVD+/-R/RW.

One important function to consider is the ability to playback while recording. DVD-RAM can allow you to do that.
