Take in Portriat it looks better.......

This is a competently taken picture of your nephew (or whoever!).

One suggestion is to try not to put the subject dead centre in the frame.

A "portrait" view is when the frame is vertical, in contrast to a "landscape" view where the frame is horizontal.

But you need not be bound by the rules. Many of my portraits are taken in "landscape" mode.

sharpen some more

abit too centred..... perhaps u may wanna capture more candid expressions instead?

looks abit too serious for a child....but im not anyone to comment on it =X

Looks plain and common. Needs a better composition.
Anyway shoot more and u will get better.

Its kind of blur... Hand shake due to low shutter speed at 1/25... Try at least 1/60 if not use the flash... ;)

thanks for all the comments....

know the mistake liao.....

thanks again....

Quite a reasonably nice photo for me...

Dun forget... the camera still works when you turn it 90 degrees :bsmilie:.

Yep, as what r52lanc has mentioned, you need to take it in portrait position instead of landscape. You've got too much background in this picture.

For me, mood is very important. Try to capture this kid when he shows his termperament, happy, angry, etc. This shot of yours is neither here nor there.

Remember, always focus on the eyes, and control your depth-of-field, taking care of camera shake of course.

Your colour is too blend. Saturate it!

thanks once again for the tips....

will find another opportunity and take another pic and let you guys comment....
