Welcome to ClubSNAP.

read the stick threads from where you post this thread.

Welcome :)

We can start with reading the stickies and u can share the equipment u have & then proceed to the corresponding brands in the equipment section , if not then maybe can go with sharing what do u wish to know about first.

Thanks.
But don't really understand:embrass:

Welcome

Maybe attach some stickies in the order to be read:

After you sort out your budget check the selected sections in the following sub-forum:

Then start your hunt for a basic camera system. ..brand new or a second hand set

Thanks. But don't really understand:embrass:

I think your question is too broad. Its just like if i tell you i don't understand Maths, do you know where to begin with?

To start off, you will need

1) A camera..... And I believe your phone comes with one. Nowadays Camera phones cam be pretty impressive....
2) Know your camera and read about the common photography techniques (be it about composition or long exposure etc.). Learn it's limits about what it can do and what it cannot.
3) Once you hit the limit of the equipment and it still can't achieve what you want, you will then list down what you want in the new camera that you want to look for.
4) Set a budget
5) Start browsing some camera reviews sites.... and make some decisions based on your needs. *If have to, just rent it out for a few days*

To note, your question is phrased very broadly. There are many genre of photography.. From Landscapes, Macro, Portraits, Sports, Underwater, Aerial etc. Know what you are interested first before you talk about it as a hobby.

Don't be embarrassed or worried :) as long as u r sincere and take your time to read through the links shared and work from there I'm sure many people here will guide u

Can you share what brings you to photography? What do you expect? What do you hope to get from it?

Don't worry too much. Just get into action and shoot. Enjoy the process, keep improving, and you will see fruits.

Thanks.

Best answer to your question.
Can you share what brings you to photography? What do you expect? What do you hope to get from it?

define your need / want / desire from photography, and your current status, how much resources (time / money / efforts) you want / able to put into it.

Make sure u have the following

Plenty of time

Plenty of money

Why so? U need time to learn and understand equipment and style of shooting and all kinds of pattern shooting u learn more why u do more

Y money? Good equipment don't come cheap but also does not mean expensive equipment are suitable for u. U need money to spin all kinds of equipment to work on until you find your favorite piece
