Only the 145 "Hornet" Sqn F-16 Block 52+ Fighting Falcons are capable of being mounted with the CFTs. I heard that they had been modified to the Israeli F-16I Sufa specifications with Elbit Systems, Rafael, IAI/Elta avionics module.

I, on the other hand, feels that the F-16D Block 52 Plus looks pretty awesome with the beefed up appearance, practically a CJ/DJ model on steroids. :bsmilie:

personally prefer the ones with CFTs... looks a lot meaner...

just waiting to get my hands on the 1/72 ones... :)

erm, just realised academy is going to release a 1/72 one... erm... :)

Anybody like to hazard a guess on where the new F-15SG squadron will be based at? Tengah Airbase (WSAT) or Changi Airbase (East)? Hopefully it will be the the former. ;p

hope it'll be at plab... :)

The F-5s will make way for the F-15SGs?
The Tiger IIs probably still have a couple of years or a decade left in their lifespan before being retired, probably in time for the F-35 Lighting II. ;)

Not exactly, the KC-130B and C-130H/KC-130H Hercules are purchased second-hand back in 1977 and mid-1980s respectively and some of them had just recently undergone a service-life extension program with primarily the avionics being modernised by Singapore Technology Aerospace. Still no sign of any impending retirement for these decades-old workhorses. :)

Not to mention that the KC-135R Stratotankers are also purchased second-hand and was originally the KC-135A variant (with the first aircraft delivered in June 1957), it was upgraded under the Pacer CRAG (Compass, Radar And GPS) program, re-engined with CFM56-2B series high-bypass turbofans and equipped with Boeing Multi-Point Refuelling System (MPRS) before being delivered to the RSAF 112 Sqn on 1999.09.10.
