Tamron or KM is fine, where in Singapore?

Cathay photo? Sim Lim?

I prefer shops that have ready stock though.

I'm also wondering how much is the good price for Tamron 18-200?

Please help me, thank you:thumbsup:

Go to Alan photo, they got lots of tamrons and sigma and KM.. now.

Alan foto is in Sim Lim? Or in Funan?

And how does their price negotiation? Like 40% off or fixed? Thanks, because I'm asking my uncle in Singapore to buy it, and he don't know about camera.

sim lim shop. what do u mean "40% off or fixed" . if u dont want to be over priced, u better try CP or john 3:16. Alan photo is ..... .... can get cheap if u ....know the market price well enough

i mean shops like song brothers or less popular small shops can be negotiated almost 40%. I've bought a wide converter that starts at $55, then finally goes down to $30. It's labelled $80, he said $55 is the last price, but asking $30, he sold it to me. Maybe $30 is still overpriced...

Do you know the market price from Tamron 18-200?

song brothers??? song song bargain hah???? later u find out the thing u just brought cost only $20..haha...kena carrot...
:bheart:

$700??? just quessing, should be around there...why u getting tis lens??:dunno:

I love the versatility of that lens, I don't like carrying bag of lenses and changin on the go.

I have the 18-70 kit lens, and Tamron 70-300, it took a lot of space in a bag to carry both of them, compared to the tamron 18-200.

I have a 10 year old Tamron 28-200, it's nice, but the bad thing is the minimal focus distance is 210cm, can't focus in small rooms at all :(

Alan photo had a tamron 18-200 for $630+ a week or two ago, but I'd already bought Sigma 18-200 and am really happy with it ($5XX MS colour). It's really fantastic.

Just borrow a copy of Amateur Photographer from library and it has review of Tamron VS Sigma 18-200. Tamron got 85% rating and Sigma got 84% rating. Tamron was rated optically better and Sigma rated as Mechanically better.

I can't believe how rigid the Sigma lens is when fully extended (especially after experiencing Minolta's trademark - "lens wobble"). The AS on the 5d works very well with this lens too.
