Wanted to go here when I was there but don't think my bazooka can make it inside. You shot this with a smaller cam bro?

They do allow photos but serious cams are not allowed.
Also no taking photos of body parts and closeups.
I never thought of doing the latter anyway :D

Luckily, I only had my just purchased Q7 and Dp1m with me.
Took most shots with the Q7.
This one is with the Dp1m.

I am using a white colored K30, maybe it does not count as a 'serious' camera too :D

Haha yeah. This DP1m is sharp sharp sharp.

Am on the look out for a small compact or mirrorless camera that can give good ISO performance at least up to ISO3200. Will check out the Q also :)

hello! i love your street photography! very interesting angles and nice bokeh!
you mentioned that you use prime lens for some photos.
i am using prime lens most of the time, but i don't have much courage to take photos of random people on the street :(

Too bad when using high iso, its not sharp enough for this.... I can't crop enough to check that photo at 100%:bsmilie:

Compact cams, are pretty decent for most stuff nowadays, but need to be more realistic on their IQ vs larger sensors.
Lots of choices to choose from nowadays.
I love the Q7.
Fast AF; fast 'normal' lens; option of various lenses for versatility.
I left my impressions of using it here.

Thanks for the kind comment.

This thread started off for me as an exploration of street/people/candid photography.
So many things to try, be it focal lengths of lenses, camera types/sensor size, techniques.
Still a big work/learning in progress for me.

I use primes most of the time.
Just start with more touristy and crowded places where you will not be noticed or paid attention to much.
Maybe start off with a bit longer lens like a 85mm, 50mm, 40mm on aps-c and then move down to a more 'normal' or wide lens like a 35mm or 24mm, etc.
Along the way, find out what you prefer too.
Some days I like long fast lenses for isolation, other days, I prefer just a 'normal' like a Q7+47mm with deep DOF for more context, so nothing is fixed.

Shoot more.... cheers. :)
