(SR3) Zeiss to launch the three new primes along the new NEX-7n? | sonyalpharumors

In about one month Sony will have a new product announcement date. They will release new camcorder and likely a new NEX-7n too. The rumored 85mm f/1.8 lens is scheduled for a release in the second half of the year. So will there be no new lens along the NEX-7n announcement?
According to one source Zeiss may launch the three new prime lenses for E-mount in April! As you know these lenses are the 12mm f/2.8, 32mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.8 lens. All with full electronic aperture control and autofocus. The lenses cover the APS-C sensor only and will not cover the Full Frame sensor area of the future Full Frame NEX. But they will of course work on it in crop mode (like it is on the VG900).

Price for each lens will vary between $1000 and $1400.

One more thing: Tomorrow I will post an important post about the future Full Frame NEX system. I have been asked by different sources to ask you about the price and marketing strategy of the camera. And we want to hear your opinion on that.

Sony FTW! :bsmilie:

Sony FTW! :bsmilie:

lolz only few things I like with my current NEX

1. Peaking - this is an awesome features specially for me who mainly shoot with MF lenses
2. Shutter lag - So far the NEX7 out performs a lot of mirror less in this department there's virtually almost no lag... comparing it with my previous mirror less NEX7 pawns them all. I even tested XE-1 and still there's some shutter lag.

These two makes me stick with NEX once other brands offers the same as above hehe ;)

Fuji FTW! Haha.

Fuji FTW! Haha.

Someone also eyeing Fuji wont tell you guys who but when he moves over (if he does) you guys will surely be surprised he's also the reason why my Fuji interest comes back but still peaking is the biggest reason why I'm using NEX :-)

same. which is why i'm not interested in the fuji. u press focus , it sort of freeze awhile. and when u move around...its slow . maybe there's a setting to change. As i need to take pic of kids..it will not work for me.

Fuji X100s has both Focus Peaking and RF type split image alignment focusing..

(SR5) NEX-9 will be more expensive than the RX1. What is your opinion? | sonyalpharumors

"I am talking a lot with my trusted sources about the future Full Frame NEX camera. The camera could be named NEX-9 and the sensor is likely going to be a new Full Frame 24 MP sensor. And it will be mroe expensve than the current RX1! There are mainly two challenges Sony is facing during the development:

1) The technical challenge:
Sony aims to create a High End Professional system that can match and if possible surpass the performance of PRO DSLR.

2) Marketing – price challenge:
The NEX-9 body only will be more expensive than the RX1. Price range should be in between $3,000 and $4,000. And lenses will be also very expensive!"

Hah then if next NEX :thumbsd: then no brainer already Fuji ISO control is one of the best in the market plus no AA filter plus mounting some nice Legacy MF lenses hmmmm yummy... Shutter lag hmmm hard to say I need to play around more but XE-1 I can still feel the lag..... maybe can live with it.... But seriously NEX7 I could do almost burst shooting specially those events shots like concerts or plays and specially kids playing man NEX7 is nice. I have a friend he's using canon and he don't want to move to Mirrorless due to shutter lag I ask him to try NEX7 he said wow virtually no shutter lag.... he also like Leica-R lenses and he use them on his Canon now he said I may look at NEX7 :-)

noooooo!!!!!! there goes my dream of owning NEX FF :-( man more expensive than RX1 and that's just body only??? that's crazy they should make it attractive so folks would make a 2nd look at NEX, when it hits the shelves ppl will say "wow FF Mirrorless" when they check the price tag, most of them will say "oh never mind then" put down the NEX FF and walks away.
