thanks for the info yeah some old voigtlander and Kodak Retina Schneider Kreuznach do use DKL.... what type of mount is your 50/1.5?

Mine is the regular prominent mount as in my earlier post. I use a prominent-NEX adapter on my nex7. I also have a prominent-L39 adapter, but don't have a Leica M, so I will sell it to another bro tomorrow.

for your info bros, Cosina Voigtlander has announced a modern copy of this vintage lens in Leica M mount, which will be available later this year. check my other post for details:

Yes... saw this... Btw, noticed U owned lotza legacy CV lenses... No interest on the latest CV15/4.5, CV35/1.2 & CV75/1.8? They are really great lenses...

yeah i guess i am a voigtlander fun boy. i once owned cv15/4.5 and cv35/1.2. they are both great lenses. but 35/1.2 is too heavy and big for me, sold it and no regret. for 15/4.5, i sold it because too wide for me and I dont use it often. but I regretted having sold it. i guess later at sometime I will buy it back.
never tried 75/1.8 before, but I guess the size and weight will again put me off. I ordered a silver version 75mm/2.5 recently, it is still on the way. i once tried another bro's black 75/2.5, very light, small and renders nice image. will post more pics after I have mine in hand :D

D CV 15/4.5 is really good. I m using the M mount ASPH 2 version. Use it for landscape... Is the 75/1.8 really that big? Heard alot of good reviews on it. Havent seen the 75/2.5 before, do share it when it arrives and of coz the pictures... Tks

Looks like NEX7 photo thread is dying by the day and seeing more selling it in BnS :-( I still like this cam and may continue to use this until the next NEX can replace it. :-)

Here's some sample pix using Summilux 50/1.4... I was hoping to see the Leica Glow but so far I see none in my test shots....

Both photos taken at wide open and no sharpening or NR applied in PP only adjusted the WB, Shadows, Exposure... and these photos are JPEG out of Camera not RAW converted to JPEG

Maybe its the light source this was taken indoor with natural lighting only.

Not true. I take in any light source also glow like hell at f/1.4. Hmm.

usually the glow occurs at the highlight. so lighting situation will be critical to have the "glow"

Even not the highlight areas, should haf a soft glow and lower contrast look as below: Lux 35/1.4 wide open..
