I hope those with calibrated screen could tell us if the purple haze is visible from my noobie eyes seems ok both using my desktop and macbook :-(

Didn't notice any magenta cast & i do agree with you with regards to NEX's pale RAW output.
Compared some pics on the NEX with Fuji once and the latter's output seemed abit more vibrant. Very subtle but noticable.
Nice shots taken with the 8mm btw. Images are rather sharp as well.

Thanks sir yeah NEX-7 raw is pale so I pull some contrast, sometimes I even pull the saturation lolz 1st time I am doing that on Sony's photos lolz. Samyang 8mm FE is pretty good specially when shooting from f8 till f11 (my max) it's pretty good in terms in sharpness....

Yeah the samyang fe is fun. Had the same lens as you but i mount them using ea2. Hmm too bad sony dun have good uwa. I uses the 10-24 tamron version but i like the 11-16 tokina sharpness but i like that extra 1mm hahaha if sony come out something decent i will definitely buy. Hope that sel10-18 is good

Yeah Samyang is a fun lens love this lens I have not tried the NEX version. Tokina 11-16 is good lens but has a bad PF :-( needs to clean it via LR lolz. I'll try it on my NEX-7 and see how it goes. Wanted to try night landscape also see if NEX-7 plus these A-mount would be a good combo.

How's EA2 with Samyang? does it affect IQ or create ghosting?

Yeah Samyang is a fun lens love this lens I have not tried the NEX version. Tokina 11-16 is good lens but has a bad PF :-( needs to clean it via LR lolz. I'll try it on my NEX-7 and see how it goes. Wanted to try night landscape also see if NEX-7 plus these A-mount would be a good combo.

sadly I have not used it on my NEX sold it kinda regret it also lolz. its a good lens sir never noticed any CA or PF bokeh is good also just that color/contrast at wide open is not that good but you can PP to pull some contrast and saturation.

tried my LA-EA1 again this time with Tamron 70-300 USD vesrion although it has focusing motor in lens body the CDAF is just tad slow my MF+peaking is faster. This lens is good pair for NEX as it's light wont give you arm pain but still after a while of shooting you could start feeling the weigth

My usual target subject are the playful cats around the estate

Not too sure hahaha only tried it once on nex doesnt seem to affect IQ not sure about ghosting cant rmb (from memory)... nvr process the photos thou... maybe we can meet up one weekend to play with each other toys hahaha... i bought the ea2 for the pdaf for some of my a mount lens like tamron 60mm f2, 1650f2.8 and 35mm.... hahaha but ea1 will give cleaner image i suppose at high iso i guess

tried Cron-r 90mm f2 but not shoot much with it took a few test shots lens seems nice
