I had re-upload those pictures. Is it ok now ?

Thanks :)

at that resolution it's hard to tell. they seem reasonably sharp. do some 100% crops. or put up the file for download

hmm..infact i dont see any problem. They are already pretty sharp and good for normal usage (at least for me)
Whats more important is..you are using a kit lens.. right? hmm..i think you are expecting too much??

Yeah, this is the first time I used a Kit lens. Are you saying that Kit lens tends to be not so sharp................:what:

Well.... kit lenses are good enough, but not top tier. That's why they are cheap. You want sharper? Must pay more.

I have not used kit lens before normally I buy body only and use a little better lens than kit on myA77 and previously A33 but looking at the night shots at F14 and F8 its soft for my liking can really see over all image quality. But as others said it's a kit lens cant expect too much from it but for normal useage i think it ok enough.

Try getting 16mm for landscape I bet it will display much better IQ over all.

tntrue....love your picture...really sharp....

I really hope Nex will come out with a good WA prime lens like maybe 11mm ?

:(

There's the samyang 8mm fisheye lens for e-mount

Looking at landscape, my guess is Sony will be coming out with a 11-18 Emount lens which completed the range from 11-210.

But I really hope for a good Wide Angle Prime lens........................:embrass:

Don't mind paying a bit more......................:)

sharp or not..very subjective..
But generally, its sharp. Just not so sharp if you start to compare it with other lenses (anyway sometimes..you wont even know which pic is shot by the kit lens or the more expensive ones)

Right now.. there is this 24 Zeiss..which is sharper. And there is 1 upcoming high quality pancake zoom lens (G) (according to Sony rumors). But of course that comes with a price.

the NEX-7 kit lens isn't able to resolve the 24MP sensor. but it's good enough for general shooting.

Tatz y we alwayz get into d lens buying frenzy. Just wondering if d leicas & CZs vintage or new lenses any good to resolve d 24MP sensor on NEX 7?

hi guys, what do you mean by "resolve" 24mp sensor??

It means that the lens is providing less details than the sensor can handle, so images appear a bit softer. That's why high quality lenses cost more...

On the other hand.. im using the 2470Z on my Nex5. (not 5N).. i feel the sensor cannot resolve the lens.
lol...
