so if lets say i get 210 zoom + dcr 250 i can get full bug face?Haiz ! ...Bro, I was trying to tell/show you that if you want more magnification of your macro shots with the DCR 250, you'll need a longer zoom than your 55mm.
The focusing distance remains the same (about 90-110mm) but the magnification increases.
so if lets say i get 210 zoom + dcr 250 i can get full bug face?

Still working on getting pics from the 28mm but it will take a while for me to get use to that FL.. The crc really spoiled me, just wish my 20mm can go as close as the 28mm
Not sure whether you were talking to me. Couple of comments:
1. Most of the 50f1.2 shots were taken at f2 or bigger, so its shots will tend to be less contrasty as against the 28f2.8. Infact, most of the photos were good enough for me not to boost too much on contrast, vibrance and saturation.
2. The ais 28f2.8 is such a fantastic lens for the money when you compare it to the Leica R Elmarit 28f2.8, especially the later version that can cost 1.5k and above. I can't afford the Leica and it was between this and the Zeiss Contax Distagon 28f2.8 which is slightly more expensive. I chose the Nikkor because it has virtually no faults and closer MFD. With this lens, I don't need the 30f3.5 macro as I only need close focus for flowers. Also, 28 on NEX is the perfect FOV, 42mm, for me.
3. I have used the 20f2.8 ais before on my Canon 5D and didn't quite like the corners but I am sure it will be Ok on the NEX 5N. The shot above, what's your white balance as it seems a bit off.
Oh, quoted the wrong person!
No doubt the 28mm is bang for the buck and your poisonous flower caught me.. LOL
20mm on the other hand is softer at the corner but its still plenty sharp. I'll see if i can get 100% crop to show..
Sorry about the WB as I usually leave the WB auto but problem with me is that I'm viewing it on a 42" LCD HD TV connected to my laptop so i'm not sure how accurate it is as it looks ok on my end but just a tat warm.
I also have to enlarge the fonts for reading which in turn cause the pictures to be enlarged too so sometimes it doesnt look the same as I anticipate it to be..
IIRC, this is OOC jpeg except running it through my workflow to add the watermark but i'll have to check again.
Now that you mention about the WB, it does look pinkish on my office notebook but again, the LCD is not calibrated
I shoot only raw and I don't quite like in-camera jpec processing to mimic styles that I used in flim ages ago. I prefer the classical look as protrayed by just lens and sensor, and in this case, the NEX 5N sensor is extra-ordinary, especially with legacy lenses. The new Zeiss 25f2 will be another classic to go with NEX 5N but it's so darn expensive, so I may have to live with the Nikkor 24f2 ais instead, to save some money on adapters also.
