Taking a rest.

Cheers =)

Had a chance to play around with the LX-3, which was a loaner unit... what impressed me was the video capabilities rather than still capabilities, but this little camera has impressive ISO800 performance, and coupled with the very fast lens and superb manual control functions, this must be one of the best compact digital cameras that I have ever handled! Lovely camera!

Here are some muck-around pictures to share.

Wow, looks like the LX3 is a killer....the details of the pics are certainly impressive.

I use currently Canon 40D and 17-85mm Canon lens.
Is there anything to do to get a glass effect picture like Lumix LX-3 , so that my photo
bright and shiny ??
Change DSLR Lens , buy additional Filter , use Picture Editing software ??

Thx for advice.

i have been wondering what are those yellow stuff floating on the water, anyone?

just a question for u guys, what kind of settings do u find yourself stuck in?

for me, i'm really obsessed with aperture priority @ f2.0 ( no other f-value! no zoom ) with i.ISO @ max 400. i rarely make use of the other modes, unless the lighting is really good or it's a sunny day, then i can close up the aperture.. lol.

new1181, what settings were those?

yup, same aperture mode all the way.... same as with my dslr... Don't usually bother with all the scene modes...

but sometimes when in super rush, i switch on Intelligent scene mode, which surprisingly churns out pretty good results. Especially useful when u ask someone take photo for u, and then they dunno how to focus and just press the shutter hard once. its pretty smart, was testing just now, correctly detects macro mode, night landscape, night portrait, landscapes mode etc.

another thing i set the function button to go to white balance, coz it is something else i quite often change, especially if im indoors.

f2 also w/o zoom. if can i keep to ISO 80 or ISO 100. But sometimes i just put autoISO and let it choose up to ISO 400.

i went to the barrage but flyer was down. no light.. ahha..

should have bought LX3 earlier coz got free ride on the sg flyer itself earlier this mth and can use it to take marina's nite view... =(
