hmm actually how to take such nice photos on this cam ?
can i take fireworks photos , clear photos and those night photos just using the modes they provide?
Am thinking of getting this or G10... which one is better?
Get Lx3....it much better than G10 in alot of difficult shooting environments some might beg to diff..but i can tell u if the below situation are given G10 and dslr users ...they will want to cry....
it look normal enough... but a check in the exif will tell u this is a iso 400 f2 1/30 sec without flash....
to get this kind of shot equivalent to the dslr without flash and with sufficent dof for front to back sharpness..u need f8-10 at more than iso 6400
hmmmm well ... my friend was saying that for zoom wise.. . Canon G10 can zoom further .. so that's better?

i love to take photos without flash but then with my current very low end FX10... my photos are usually very blurry as i've shakey hands...

i think a simple p&s will do fine for you as lx3 requires a level of fine tuning so as to achieve the full potential of this cam.
this cam is a better cam with higher iso at 400 over the G10.
but the G10 can zoom further.
the shaky hands problem is rather hard to correct when you need to shot with lcd on this cam, try to keep your elbows as close to the body as possible.
