I have a 46-52mm step up ring to mount the Nikon WC-E75.
The thread diameter for the lens is 52mm and the adapter from Panasonic is 46mm.

Hmm, do you need to buy an adapter to mount the WC? What thread diameter huh?? Thanks!

someone needs to answer me already:

how much is this cam?

Should be around $680-690. Can check with MS Color or Alan Photo.

what? oh i thought its cheap cheap like 400+ like that. i guess i'll stick with my S5 IS. So tempting tho.

Will do more test more this coming weekends. WC-E75 and the FC-E9 (fisheye) comes with my Nikon 8400 last time. Not sure if any shop still selling them as it was a obsolete model.

One more shot in 3:2 out of cam.

Wow! This is interesting.
Is it correct to say that you will gain another half a stop or more after you attached the wide angle attachment?:dunno:

46mm ok. Sorry to ask again, how much is the Panasonic adapter and where you get it?

Its Leica lens and Leica has an improved version Leica D-LUX 4 coming. f2 24mm is very unique, with the WA, it goes to 18mm! Personally I find P&S is good for landscape due to its deep DOF.

The f stop remains the same there is no gain or loss after attachment of the lens.

Panasonic adapter is $40-$45 at Alan or any others, remember somebody posted another shop selling around $30+

hmm... In general, there is a loss of 2 stops if a 2x teleconverter is attached. I just wonder why the f stop remains unchanged in the case where a 0.XX wide converter is attached? :dunno:

Please enlighten, :)

Thanks!

This is a attached lens and not a teleconverter like in a DSLR.
Most P&S uses a aux lens attached to the front of the lens which does not have light loss.
You can also use the lens in a DSLR if you want to and also no light loss but IQ will probably be bad and also may not match the lens properly.
It works like a filter attached to the front.
Se my post on this thread for the accessories

After playing with LX3 for a while now, i am still confused on how to use the Focus mode & also Pre-AF mode.
When i choose the spot to focus in the shutter mode, (For instance, on the bottom right),
i half trigger, the focus will auto-focus the centre...which i actually wanted it to focus on the bottom right.
On the Manual focus mode,
Is there any ways to make it focus elsewhere beside the centre?
For instance, i wanted a good focus on something (on the far right) and the background slightly blur, how do i get around doing it on LX3?

Anyone saw any 3rd party adaptors that go straight to 52mm...

How the built of the plastic adaptors, last time the FZ5 adaptors all spoilt after a few screws and unscrews... make me think twice before getting the plastic adaptor.

46mm dun seem to be a sweet spot for filters like UV and CP. Hope someone comes up with a metal 52mm adaptor.
