Some pictures from my recent trip. Not great shots, but this little performer is very easy to use for beginners like me. Handles food shots and low light very well! This is the first time I achieved a handheld shot with a compact inside a low lit pub without blur! (Not shown)

All shots slight PP. Levels and sharpening.

LX3 is good in IR but got a big hot spot at wide angle.
To avoid hot spot, need to shoot while zooming in.

Today shots @ Chinese Garden IR w/ Hoya R72 52mm

Hi, sorry for late reply, wasn't around for a week. For those pic, I used a tripod. But also possible handheld if you can handle slow shutter speed like 1/4 sec.

Steps are as per norm as IR photography such as getting custom WB setting from sun lit green grass while filter on and then take a shot. With LX3, you can compose the scene and faster shutter speed. But you may get a big hot spot in smaller apearture or under bright sun light. You can avoid by zooming in or using wide apearture.

PP also same as normal IR processing such as changing hue, level, and contrast or red and blue channel swaping.

For me, I choose a suitable mode form 'SCN'.
