Picture from RX1

thanks for pointing out, you have a sharp eye there :) will take note in future.

Can RX1-R owners post here:)

I just bought this camera. So far have the EVF accessory and also bought a Kenko 3 stop ND filter for when I want to shoot at f/2.0 in broad daylight. I bought the cheap ebay hood but don't like that it screws on and once used, the sony lens cap doesn't fit well on top of it. I also have a RRS grip which is freaking amazing in terms of how it improves the handling qualities of this camera

Just a quick pic of my dog. Photo was taken at f/2.0, ISO 3200, all noise reduction OFF, vignette correction OFF, distortion/CA correction ON, standard colour setting, no additional sharpness, contrast, colour in camera. This is a jpg completely out of camera, just resized for web and untouched. So totally zero sharpening and noise reduction. Only thing is I think the shutter speed was pretty slow so there might be a little camera shake reducing the sharpness...maybe?

Focus point was on the left eye. I've included a 100% crop.

I don't have a calibrated monitor, can I just confirm if the image is exposed properly? Because it looks a little underexposed on my monitor (looked great in EVF and camera screen though)

Really liking this camera so far. Best I have ever used/owned.

Good choice for the RRS grip. My only complaint is the added weight and bulk it creates for such a portable camera. Sold my RRS grip and bought a slimmer one which is as good as RRS in improving the grip, yet alot lighter and slimmer!

Sadly, it's size, although really tiny, makes it hard for people with big hands like me to handle. If it wasn't for the grip, I'd probably cramp my fingers trying to work it. I also like that with the grip you protect the bottom so you don't scratch the camera case when you put it on a table.

can someone teach me how to post photos on clubsnap? i just set up a flicker account and want to share my RX1 photos....

Just buy an A7/A7r, should fit your hand better.

Actually, with the grip (used to have a RRS and now using a slimmer UN), the RX1R is perfect in holding. Sony should have made a handgrip in their standard accessories list, since they have almost every accessories covered (pricey though).

downsizing? you mean you applied compression to your picture is it? also ah... your images seem a little out of focus leh...
I don't think so. She/he probably meant a lower resolution.

Where are all the RX1 owners? Too busy with a new toy (A7/r)? :)
Challenged my RX1 this afternoon, glad can get a nice one, lucky me.
