Stop drooling... I LOVE mine.... best and most fun camera Ive bought this decade! Also the first cam thats allowed me to leave a big DSLR at home on a holiday. ( Ive shot the Nikon D200, D300, D3S, Fuji X100, Leica M9-P )

Coming over from nikon d7000, I really like the portability and IQ.
Now trying to sell off my nikon lenses to raise fund for this little beast

Now is a good time to buy this. Great camera...I realised that I use this camera more than I did with my A7R

To answer the some questions asked earlier,

1) the AF box can be made smaller. When using the focus mode on center AF, the box is larger, to make it smaller, use the flexible spot AF mode which uses a smaller AF box. Some have mentioned that using the larger box makes it focus faster than the small box. I did extensive testing and found no difference in AF speed using either sized box. The smaller box in flexible spot mode is just the right size IMO

2) the EVF works great with my RX1R. IMO it's the best of the accessories you can buy, though expensive. I also found myself using the tilt feature a lot more than I thought I would. Also works great in bright sunlight when it gets hard to see the screen, or when you want to steady your shot better since using the EVF braces the camera against your face.

3) no shutter count function in the camera as far as I'm aware

If anyone else has any other questions on the RX1R, fire away and I'll try to help (spent a lot of time trying to learn how to maximise is amazing potential)

You want cheaper gotta check BNS every day for used set.

That's not true about the EVF.....RRP is more than $600 and there's no PWP with that. However...there is a street price....

Already miss out on the Sony sale and airport ran out of stock for the evf. Tmrw will go down Funan to look for it.

This is limited stock item. That's why most shops with stock (if they have) will sell at RRP. Call first before going down.

Not to judge or to discriminate or to put the share down, atarandas bro, but this is written by a 23 year old kid who only started shooting with full frame dslr 2 years ago? How many uncles and bros here have been shooting with FF dslr longer than that. Objectively, his experiential credentials are quite inadequate.
