Thank you. They were from Alaska.

And being kiasu, I brought my 6D as well. So less shots was taken with M this time round.
 

After seeing all the photo here , I got myself a EOSM......... Please advice the newbie what the important n best setting for this little cam....... :)

Start by reading the manual. I think canon also offers free training for people who have bought their cameras. Once you understand the fundamentals of photography, it is applicable to any camera you use.

Every different situation requires different settings, so it's hard to say what is the best setting. Just read the manual to understand what the camera can or cannot do, than apply those functions accordingly

Most important is to practice a lot, when you shoot a lot then you will learn and understand your camera better

If yours is a local set, u can attend the free product training by Canon on how to use, especially if u hate reading (the manual).
But as some pointed out, there no best setting.
Can start learning about what is Aperture, shutter speed & ISO if u not sure what they mean.

Bring it out to shoot and enjoy :)
