Picture from EOS M

just want to share, bought a lens hood for my 18-55 from eBay. i'm happily surprised with its excellent build quality, and fits snugly on the lens too.

Thank for sharing. May I know it the turn&clip type? Or type which screw onto the front thread?
Bought one from Ebay which the screw type. Didn't c properly when placing order. Dun like it as which has problem putting on lens cap. And with filter on, it will have some vignetting with the hood on.

yes, this is the turn and click type, not the screw-on type. it's just like the original Canon lens hood one. you can still put on the lens cap with the hood mounted. no vignetting whatsoever even with filter on. really worth getting in my opinion.

too bad can't find anything for the 22mm lens, but i guess the pancake lens looks better without any hood on.

Two more shots of the lens hood, shown with the lens cap on (filter also mounted):

Slrr selling the original hood for 22 mm. But to me, I use the pancake to keep it small. So adding hood will add lots of bulk

Actually found a few on eBay (both 3rd party and Canon) like these ones:

JJC LH 43 Metal Lens Hood for Canon EF M 22mm F 2 STM as EW 43 US 060399 | eBay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/JJC-LH-43-M...196?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4609bcbe7cGenuine Canon EW 43 Lens Hood for EF M22MM F 2 STM 22 mm Original | eBay

Not cheap too. I think I can do without the hood for the 22mm, afterall the whole purpose of the pancake design is to keep things small.

Same here...
i prefer 22mm without lens hood because of the size:D

Now i like to shot with Tokina 10-17 FE lens coz the size of the lens not too big.
