Wow.... Great Photos....

But where is Bora Bora located ? Must have cost a bomb to go to a place with such clear blue waters....... :D

Bora Bora is a pacific island located in between NZ and the US. Use google earth and u can see its exact location on the globe- very far for us sporeans to get there- easier if u are from the States.

MAGNIFICENT!

I also like the underwater shots.

wah THANKS leh.... say until like that.... now I damn stress!!!:embrass:

Always wanted to check out Bora Bora, finally someone posted the pic there.
May I know which airline you took and where is the connecting flight and flight time?
7k inclusive of airfare, lodging, transport etc?

Ya, 7K basially covers everything... I flew from Singapore to Auckland with SQ, Aucland to Tahiti on NZ, then Tahiti to Bora Bora on Tahiti air.... thats by far the best way I figured to get there... the cool thing is... I got there before I left!!... does that make sense??.... I left at 8.30am 0n 7 Sept... and got there at 7am on 7 Sept!! coolness la!! like travelling back in time.... so when the folks there asked me where I'm from... I said 'from the futhur!' (Always wanted to say that since the 'Back to the Futhur movies!!.. hahahah)
If you ready go there, make sure you dun pack the trip with dives!.... take a few days to explore the Island (4WD safari) go to the famous beach... snorkel with the rays... there plenty of days trips on offer!.. trust me, you wouldn't want to dive much when you are there!.. (never thought I would say that!!... but its true!)

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing the nice photos and all these good information.
Don't have diving cert yet, so if go there soon, then no need to pack dive at all. But guess if fly until so far, at least must do a dive.

I had my honeymoon there during June 2002. All expenses added up to SGD7677.12 for both my wife and I.
Accommodation + Airfare : 5189.15 (Changi<>Sydney were on krisflyer redemption tickets)
Tax + Misc charges : 578.30
Insurance : 100
Photography stuff : 350.60 (using film then)
Transportation : 161.86 (includes cab rides on island)
Food : 441.79
Entertainment : 146.41 (shark feeding tour)
Shopping : 709.01 (gotta get that south pacific black pearl)
Did a spreadsheet then... that's why the details! ;)

We communicated and booked online through travel agent in Sydney. Flight there was Changi>Sydney>Auckland>Taihiti>BoraBora>Moorea>Taihiti.

Spent 1 nite at Taihiti, 3 nites at BoraBora, 3 nites at Moorea, followed by 1 nite at Taihiti on way back. Our accommodations on all the islands were at Sofitel chain of resorts (stick to same chain -cheaper deal).. it didn't sound as exorbitant as those USD600/nite as we didn't stay on those luxurious and famous over-water bungalows (sort of regret tho).

Just sharing .. that a trip to such heavon-on-earth place is very do-able.

Man, those underwater shots are wicked!!!!

Wonderful how you got so close to those sharks!

wah!... cool!...., think I need to start doing spread sheets too!! I always have no idea where my money go to!!

Dude you never did say that you won this as a prize right?

Plus you won another trip to somewhere else?!?!?
Congrats man!

aaron, shoot Hantu and show us .

Your "normal shots" already out of my capability. Shoot Hantu and then i can say mine better (shot in Indonesia)

Congrats on your new win.

Huh?... thought you guys know??... ya, I won it from the 'our World Underwater' com.
But here's the f**k part... all these 'prize trips' don't come with flight!!... and this one only comes with diving for 1!... Damn!... I'd rather they give me money or cameras!!

ya, I won some other coms,... a trip to Manado and another one...'voucher' for SeaCam... but here's the 2nd catch... its a 500 USD voucher... for those who know SeaCam, hardly anything from SeaCam cost 500 USD!!... everything is close to 1K!! (and I am just talking about additional parts like view finder... you can forget about a housing!!... and I really don't think I need another SeaCam any time soon!! Damn Damn!!
