Donchua, now you know why Nikon is called Dark side..............:bsmilie:
Pics taken by D70/70s is pretty dark. The reason is that for a dark pic it preserve more details and could be adjusted by software to get an excellent pic. Unfortunately most users are not good software user, including me. Anyway you can still download curves or make your own curves to improve image lightness. :)

ya... the metering was affected by the white pillars. Use Center Weighted or spot metering with exposure lock if necessary.

Next is shoot RAW, still have chance to fine tuned it with NC.

Btw, Welcome to D70/D70s user group :)

Ya, I shoot in raw now but still learning how to use Nikon Capture..

some essential steps for me:

- Advanced RAW, exp comp ev.
- White Balance
- D-Lighting (on/off)
- Color Booster (+10 or +15)
- Noise Reduction (intensity +5 or +10, sharpness +5, Faster mode)
Export to jpeg at maximum quality.

Next is Photoshop auto-script framing for web.
Job done. :)
