Yep. 35mm F1.7 is in the same league as the CV35mm F1.2II, just a lot smaller in size since it is not as wide aperture as the 35F1.2.

Super sharp, and great lens to keep!

Sure will... Thanks for the recommendation. D ultron 28-2.0 is not as sharp on d edge wide open as compared to d 35-1.7. But stopped down, I supposed @ f8, as comparable...

One thing to note abt the Super Wide Heliar, magenta cast is very evident... LOL... though I must say d details of the objects r good... A very good super wide angle lens if u dun mind doing cornerfix all d time.. LOL

As a matter of fact... Leicas r really great lenses and sometimes, rare gems that r way cheaper do perform better on some situations...

Try the 50lux and 35lux (latest ASPH version only please). You will change your perspective.

At F8, most lenses are sharp, but what you want is resolution, not just sharpness. 35F1.7 is superior still at F8.
