hmm now... which is better. the Voigtlander M to NEX adaptor or the Kipon M to NEX Adaptor.

Kei, you should seriously consider Hawk's Factory M to NEX adaptor with helicoil. I believe there shd be CStizens selling it.
Managed to get one 2 months back at S$150. The most helpful feature of this Hawk's is to reduce the MFD of my legacy lens (e.g. 0.70m to 0.30m for 35mm lens) and gave them the option to take close up shots of food etc.
If not, Kipon would be a good option as well. Can't comment much on the Voigtlander adaptor but my Kipon one fits really well and feels sturdy on my NEX7.

Haha, tried... got size limit of 400K per pic. I tried exporting from Lightroom to 400K and alwayz give me error message. Give up!!!

Hahaha..appreciate the effort.
Perhaps it wld be easier if you wld to upload them onto Flickr and post the link here instead?? ;)

If I m not wrong. Kipon one also got helicoil... selling abt 200sgd in ebay. Could you elaborate more on the Hawk's? Is it tight fitting and no jiggling of the lens attached to it? Anything else that makes the Hawk's a good adapter compared to Kipon's, Metabones & Novoflex?

This Kipon looks like a good buy. Comments?

okay~

meeting the seller tomorrow :bsmilie:

If you are using heavy manual lenses, you probably want to invest in a Novoflex or Voigtlander which is still sturdy when put on a heavy lens. Novoflex has no creaks at all. Super tight and perfect fitting.

Look for 2nd hand unit since it is unlikely to break with minimal mechanism in it.

I think the LA-EA2 was the best purchase decision i ever made, it really opened up my lens options. I was very happy that there were lower-end Zeiss and 'G' lenses available, having been used to Canon's 'L' series during my DSLR days. CSC format cameras are really a Godsend, now we can tot our photo gears wherever we go w/o the back aches!

I kinda of regretted my purchase of the adapter. Made the camera heavier and defeats the purpose of getting NeX as a lightweight camera. Plus the fact that there is no anti shake after putting on the a mount lens ... Thinking of selling away the A mount zeiss lens now...

My Hawk's adaptor fits nicely and did not display any jiggling when the lens is attached. In terms of design, I picked it over the Kipon's because the Kipon with helicoil's design looks rather odd to me.

If you would to compare Hawk's with Metabones and Novoflex, comestic-wise, the only difference would be the extra thickness of the Hawk's due to the helicoil (probably about another 2-3mm).

Meet up with one of u guys to test the lens one of these days?
