Newsman, may I ask you what did the contributing writer gets when he / she contribute juicy articles to magazine / newspapers ?

Acknowledgement and a whole deal of money ......

i think he WAS careful with his words...thats y he suggested "MAY" not saying you ARE !

if u're unhappy about him being vague, think of the photographers who are just as unhappy about how vague u're with the "plans" of your company. Of course there isn't a need to write down every single clause here.

the fact is very simple. as long as there's a want to have pictures being displayed, u either need to purchase them individually, like here, or u can approach stock agencies.

lets not talk about macdonald's or big MNC companies, even small LOCAL companies here do have a small $$$ set aside for these procurement. Please check with your legal advisor about copyright issues. On the other hand, where's our in house lawyer vince123123? your comments on this whole fiasco?

Then good for you. Guess you might need to ask your designer to work harder instead of relying mostly on photos to enhance the site...just a very personal opinion...

Most of the time, they are getting acknowlegement and advertising their own service. They are willing contributing writer, love to write and wanted to share their views to the public. Newspapers & magazine don't have so much budget to pay all this writers. So what did the writers earn, your may ask ? They will be called upon when big firm wanted to do corporate writeups, etc and that's what they earn ! It's a long term time investment though.

Volunteers perform charity work for a cause, helping the less fortunate, elderly, etc...

You are trying to attain something for free, to promote YOUR personal agenda.

Please get your facts straight. Do not try and 'slam' the members of the forum because everyone does not share the same 'charitable' views as yourself OR your portal.

By posting on a public forum, you are entitled to your opinions, but so are the rest of the members.

As a web developer myself, I think you should trash the idea. The amount of goodwill you will lose isn't worth your refusal to pay for stock images. I think people here have many a reason to kick up a fuss, and threatening them with legal action isn't helping.

Please, show some class.
