i hope the newbies in CS will be warned of this. perhaps, the mods would like to make a sticky of this issue? too many well-meaninged and ernest photogs could be cheated out of their hardwork due to ignorance.

Eurekaw, what abt getting your relatives or relatives of your staff to take pictures for your portal out of goodwill. I am sure they won't sue you cos of relationship.

You can also go out there and take pictures yourself. I am sure you will not sue your own company.

Terence, we are not arrogant. We are just looking ard for what we want and so happened lots of ppl who are not keen replied. Glad to say there are 2 willing parties that we can work with. In this entire conversation, I guess that's why there are always shortage of volunteers in Singapore. Sad

Think it has nothing to do with volunteer. I am a web designer and I know how hard it is to have decent photos. Sometimes you need to take them yourself or buy it from other photogs. If you simply copy, there are always copyright issue. You just do not want to buy and ask for the pictures...who would not be mad?

Volunteers does charity work, they help others for the cause of good. No so the other party can profit from it. Those who helped so the other party can profit for their hardwork are not volunteers, they are what we call .......... you know what......
