In the case of inkjet prints, are there any problems with ink bleeding due to solvents/plasticizers in the laminate? If there is, it might be more pronounced with glossy paper where the ink stays mostly at the surface. Any experiences?
Yep, some may want the texture of matte paper, especially the expensive art paper which is matte. The texture of the paper can give a very nice add-on to the image. Some of these art paper include Arches Infinity, Moab Entrada, Hahnemühle Albrecht Dürer, etc.
Laminating will eliminate or at least severly reduce the texture of the paper.
