Sigh .... can you pls educate the kids that recession affects ang pows as well .... and be understanding that uncles do suffer from recession ..... ;(

That is not going to happen... my "kids" are the ones giving out ang pows... LOL!

For those interested, Wrotniak's review of the E-30 is up.... I believe this is still work-in-progress, but nevertheless, there's still quite a lot of 'meat' in there. I beleive most of us value his opinions and thoughts...

Only ONE E-30 here .... anymore pics .... :dunno:

You looking for pics from other E30 users right? Not from me right? Haha... I have quite a lot of pics already from the E30...but mostly CNY ones with family and friends so they are either portrait or group photos.

I think anymore pics from ANYONE with the E30 would be most welcome ... ;)

Ok, I'll post some when I get back tonight.

Here's some photos from my new toy... most of it in either ISO 800 or 1600, NR off, NF set to low:

I'm still trying to get used to the E-30. Definitely different from the E-410 in terms of handling. Carrying this with the 50-200 and the HLD-4 is pretty much like weight-lifting... beats going to the gym...

More photos from my Flickr

Nice! Esp the first pic!

How's the handling? I handled one .... thought it was still a little big but still feels better than the E-3, which is too heavy/cumbersome ...

Impressive noise handling.

As mentioned, it is very much heavier than my E-410, but the grip pretty much fits my hand.

Hi There

These were taken with the E30 at the recent Prodigy concert and old style 40-150. They are all straight exports from lightroom 2.3 (web album defaults) but have been cropped and straightened. A few had minor adjustment to the fill light. Two were adjusted for exposure, but by less than half a stop.

All shots except the first and last were with the the camera high above my head and looking directly up at the tilted LCD in liveview mode (no CDAF because old lens). All except the 2nd one are at iso 800 or 1600. Most are iso 1600.

This was my 1st attempt at this sort of thing. I was pleased to get at least some that I think were woth keeping. I culled them down to about 5 but have left a few more than that up so that anyone interested can have a look to see how the camera performed.

Nice :thumbsup::thumbsup:

That is one great advantage of the E-30 - tiltable LCD. Missed it from my C7070W days ...

I must say that the 1600 ISO performance is really good. The E-30 seems to be living up to a lot of its claims and from the pictures and opinions in this thread, it certainly is very tempting to acquire one...

Actually, even without CDAF, the Hybrid AF function (approximate focus on non-CDAF lenses) is a handy feature, although of course, you'd rather use the AF Lock to lock the focus instantly.
