Yupe.
Our 'Band of Brothers' is finally complete!
Does crossing the 30K mark means we have another chance to have another go at 4148?;)

Hi George,

Can crop off the figure on the right, also subject abit blur. Going eye level and zooming in further to fill the frame will create a better impact too

Looking forward to more photos!! :)

Aiyah ok la... will have another go at 4148 today.....

Hello, Bravia.
I would like to express my thanks for your suggestion.
It certainly sounded very plausible and as such, I have done a quick 1-2 here.
I am not sure how the B&W version is viewed.
As always, I would be happy to receive all feedback.

I definitely prefer the monochrome version. :)

actually, the shutter duration is likely too long. the shoe is fairly sharp, ie subject probably bend forward, so on top of off focus, that causes significant subject motion blur over the important areas where u want them sharp. that is not going to be amendable by cropping.

the light may not be strong, zooming in may make it more difficult to handle focus, motion blur and hand steadiness. need to get better larger aperture lens (DOF less though) and higher ISO. hand steadiness and tripod will not help in subject motion from longer shutter duration.

T R A V E L O G U E ~ The last day

When we arrived at the hotel, it was still very early in the day.
Both SereneXMM and I myself (and later on I learned, stevepow too) were totally fatigued and we just needed to take another good shower and rested.

What did Chubbykei, Helen and divinemoment do? Hehehe... I think the French Quarter they went!
I am really starting to think these marvellous machines were half-human.
Either that, or SereneXMM and I were terrible travellers!

Funnily enough, last night I dreamt of the last day we had at Hanoi but of a different nature. So it brought to me remembrance about your comments in your travelogue.

Yeah, three of us were strolling casually to the French Quarters and normally I'd gotta some decent photo returns, but that fateful day being franked by two beautiful ladies, I forgotten how to see thru' the camera.

Then we passed by a pineapple vendor and the backgrd was so rustic that it would make up a nice photo. The vendor was quick to shield her face. Helen try to outdone her by purchasing a pineapple in the hope she will be generous for us to snap some shots. After buying, she run away and outwitted us. It was quite comical. Ha ha ha.

Now you see her partially

Now you don't

Then we went to a Asian Museum (something like that), paid the tickets and the place was huge to tour. I was quite tire, found a chair and slept but these two energetic girls continued to tour the place. See, I also succumbed to fatique.

Next, we went to a nice place to enjoy some nice coffee and cakes on Kei's wallet. After that, we took a cab back on Helen's wallet. Not bad an experience for a free tour!

T R A V E L O G U E - Day 2 Model Shoot, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi

Ms Ngoc Han, the model, is a professional model with a notable portfolio.
It was really our honour to have the opportunity to shoot her.
She is very tall, very slim, and very beautiful. And when she is in her Ao Dai, she was simply stunning.
Almost every single one of us had our breath taken away by her beauty, her spontaneous smile, her tireless dedication to continuing posing under the hot, humid weather.

Here is one of my shots of her.
Our fellow members have much better shots. Just thought I'd start off with my humble shot here.

After the first settings at the red Huc Bridge, the Ngoc Son Temple, the whole troop crossed Adrian's Grandfather's road opposite to the Old Quarter.
Adrian found a small narrow alley with a classical Vietnamese house with a classical Vietnamese bicycle.
And here we did our third shooting session.

Er... my dream scene of a pretty Vietnamese girl in white Ao Dai riding a bicycle on the road and looking back sweetly at us never materialise.
This is the best I could do.
But I am happy enough.

She just becomes Miss VN 2010 on 14th August.

Yah...
And another classic case of use of both mine and SereneXMM's photo without acknowledgement of our copyrights.

See that thread http://vietnamnet.vn/vanhoa/201008/C...m-2010-929158/

The three photos (one of which is mine and two of which is SereneXMM's) of Ngoc Han taken in Hanoi were lifted out right from this thread in ClubSNAP and posted onto Vietnam.net!

While they really shouldn't have done that but it also really goes to show how good your photos are and appreciated :)

Erm, maybe the credits were in Vietnamese?

No lah... I was joking.
Actually it was interesting.
I uploaded the Vietnamese web page to Google Translator and it translated thus:

I will still buy you coffee in our coming trip, SK1968.
And I will certainly buy acpical his well-deserved cup of coffee in our next trip with him coming very soon!
