Photos from 8D7N Hanoi Halong Bay & Sapa Valley Photography Trek

Is it falls in Oct also? Are you saying this new itinenary is a continuation of Jiuzhaigou. So for those who opt for both, it will be like 10 days?

Or the recce for the new site is entirely on its own aggenda.

Hi All, just to clarify for those intending to join the Huangshan recce. This component is a continuation of the Jiuzhaigou trip. Also, as the name "recce" implies, we will also be doing our own meetings with trade members and hotel inspections. We do not expect you guys to join us for this part (unless you really really enjoy taking pictures of hotel rooms :p).

However, we will also be doing a photo documention of the respective areas of interest (this is the part where you can join), restaurants and their menu, etc. Our meetings and hotel inspections are usually done at night (after touring the various places of interest), so it should not affect the "tour itinerary" in general.

More details of the recce and estimated costs will be released soon.

Tks!

Do note that this is not part of the Jiuzhaigou trip. All expenses incurred during this recce is largely on your own (ie. domestic airfare, hotel, transport, food, etc). We will give you an estimate cost to incur and you can make payment to the respective operator. We are going there for recce mainly for our own product development purposes as well as to meet up with trade members, so we will not be guiding you through the places.

But we will still be doing a photo documention of the respective areas of interest. If a few of you are going together, you can share vehicle costs etc.

Do also note that we will limit the number of people following us on this recce trip (3-4 max preferably)

I think she's not more than 12 yrs old and is tending to the cow. In her hand was a piece of bread that was ever so treasured.

Truely these were the 1st grp of kids that we came across in Sapa, and camera started firiing. And our dear Doc whipped out his Paloroid and gave them those precious little photo as gifts that they would never ever able to chance upon.

Haha... yes, yes. We both are. And from the way things are going, a few of the Trekkers on this Hanoi-Halong-Sapa trip will be going too. Hahaha...

Well, a retired man has to do what a retired man has to do...
Me, how I wish I can retire (ok lah, don't be greedy... semi-retire lah...) and do what you, Stevepow, Jim and George are doing now...

So dreamy, like in Lord of the Rings the movie like that.
This kind of scene really hard to come by.
Great capture, divinemoment. How I wish I have paid more attention in shooting that horse instead of shooting the water on the ground... Stupid me...

Ditto the 'little gifts' to them.
I don't mind carrying the extra weight of the Fuji Intax Mini "Polaroid" so that when the moment is right, I can present them with something that is memorable.
The person who inspired me to do this is who?
Our very good senior CS member Leong23! He was the one who influenced me in this one fateful afternoon when we were in our usual gathering shop in Peninsula Shopping Centre.
He said: "... it's better than giving them sweet, chocolate, money, colour pencils... Give them a picture of themselves."

I want .. but I can't
Well, LowLights, you don't work yourself too hard lah wei!
Ahem... if I were you with a spanking brand new M9 waiting for some real action in the battle field, I will close one eye and just do it!

Think it is Wang Wang biscuits.
You're right! It's wang wang biscuits!
How did wang wang biscuit find its way into the depth of these valleys???!!!???

Yah.... finally! The piglet for sale.
It was squealing so loudly we could all hear its squeal from one end of Bac Ha market to the other end.

Here is my take of that little piglet.
Damn poor thing.
I am beginning to be a little bit more of an animal lover like Encik Stevepow already.

As we walked past many of the shops in the market, we see signs like these.
These are signs with wordings that have become familiar to us over the course of the past 6 days.
What do they mean?

T R A V E L O G U E ~ Day 6 - Bac Ha Market

You guys are all so excited and couldn't stop talking about this Huangshan, that Huangshan.
Little beknown to you all, I am the poor soul who is silently working hard trying to keep this travelogue focussed.

Before you all go scattering all over the place, here is a painstakingly cut and pasted Montage.
One that depicts a feeling from the depth of my heart.
A feeling that became obvious to me as I worked my way deeper into Bac Ha Market.
Wherever I went, whichever angle I turned, I found smiles.
Yes, smiles. Nothing but simple, innocent, heart-warming smiles.
On the faces of all these tribal people.
I believed I snapped more smiling faces in that one and a half hours than I would do so in a week back home!

Here it is, a montage of this lovely, cheerful smiling people.
