Thanks for sharing... I am quite interested in the D90 and these videos certainly help...

In all honesty, the song choices can definitely be improved.

I also find that in the second video, it appears too segmented and not gelled well together. One segment of the video jumps to the other without allowing the viewer to anticipate.

Well, the panning and the DOF soft focus is nice but if each and every scene it is used, it becomes tiring and boring, in my opinion.

Otherwise, nice job!

;)

Hi purplemonkey369,

are there any other ways to fade/ change scenarios?

thanks.

It doesn't hurt to balance panning shots and fadings with static shots that focus on the expressions or movements of the subject, and simple white outs or even no transition at all.

The viewer will definitely appreciate the balance, and the pace of how the story is being told. Artistic techniques shouldn't be used every single time just for the sake of it.

Pacing and build up to certain, more important scenes, or the climax of an event, is very crucial, IMHO.

I think its nicely done. Kept me watching through. BTW, it should read "to be continued".
Dont worry about the monkey in the woods. I've seen what he does and it sure aint hollywood nor even bollywood.
