PhotoMarathon 2010 in singaopre...


Can anyone who joined the past competitions shed some light on what is the estimate duration they give for each theme? 1 hour? 2 hour?

1 Hour isn't even enough to travel to anywhere farther than CBD area and back....2 hours still a bit tough to go further....

ermm based on my last experience... alot of those chosen and winning shoots are taken within suntec/marina sq area...

so no point travel so far like me and my friends did (we went raffles place, orchard rd etc) ;p

the judges are looking at creativity actually.

Do remember to bring along a valid form of identification for the event, such as your NRIC, Student's Pass, Employment Pass etc. Your identification document is a crucial element in registration for the event and the subsequent submission of photographs during the competition.

All participants are reminded to bring along their signed Indemnity Forms. Participants under the age of 18 are also reminded to have the form signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Do also note the slight changes in the timings of registration and the Themes announcement.

Please also note the essential timings for the event:
0700hrs Start of on-site registration
0830hrs Competition Brief
0900hrs Announcement of Theme 1
1200hrs Deadline for Theme 1 submission, Theme 2 concurrently announced
1500hrs Deadline for Theme 2 submission, Theme 3 concurrently announced
1800hrs Deadline for Theme 3 submission
1930hrs Announcement of results and commencement of Prize Presentation ceremony
2000hrs End of Event

hi, regarding the rules, the picture should not above 5MB right?

im using 550D, and if i use the best quality image (18MP), it will produce around 5.2MB (above 5MB)
if i use normal quality image (8MP), it will produce around only 2MB (below 5MB)

so, i have to use the 8MP one right? in order to get <5MB of picture
is the quality will significant be different?

Not sure abt last yr as previous yr we were told to use our largest jpeg size available.:)

Even using Iphone to shoot also can..the rules didn't strictly to use what type of camera for the event..;)

Participants can use any digital camera during the Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore 2010.

last year they pushed back the prize giving till around 9.30pm or so. Everytime they say got cut off time for photo submission, always extended and extended one. Not really fair for those who rush back so i think this round, most maybe will heck care the timings.

this time is unavoidable. confirm will have people use editing software to resize to the 5mb limit.

Wonder if anyone can just share what's the theme for this year's marathon so that people who couldn't attend it (like me :( ) can go do my own marathon lol.

Theme 1 : Clarity
Theme 2 : Faith
Theme 3 : Charge
 

I left early at around 6pm.

Any update who are the winner?
