I remember reading about an incident in the 80s (in a Brit photography mag) which kind of bent the rules of photojournalism:
- there was a streaker at a football match the photog was covering
- photog didn't like the shots he got
- photog approached the streaker in courthouse grounds (after he was charged I guess), and asked him for a staged repeat performance
- Voila! a perfect shot of the streaker, shot at an angle from which you couldn't see the empty stands
