Hey beautiful!

Thank you for your insights. Anyway, do you use a guide there? Is it recommended to use one or we could just travel around on our own?

You can reach the place and engage a guide. The guides wear light brown uniforms with a badge on the left arm.

I walked on my own. In fact you should head down to Pub St, there are some shops selling fake angkor guides, kids are selling them too. You can buy, read it and explore on your own. Before I left Cambodia, i bought Ancient Angkor by river guide books at the airport. It tells you what time to see which wall and stuff. Also depicts the stories of most temples.

There is a big bookstore at the corner of old market. It is near the Siem Reap river. It sells genuine books.

The tuktuks also offer to be our guide. But I guess you pay peanuts you get monkey. There are plenty of tour agencies at Pub st so no worries.

Hi all, very sorry but I'm unable to get leave on the dates so need to pull out. Have fun ya!

You can rent MTBs. The road is flat anyway so cycling isn't hard and it's a great way to meet locals.

I have booked my flight. It costs me around SGD 217.29 for SG-Siem Reap (15/9 - no additional baggage) and PP-SG (20/9 w/ addtional 15kg baggage).

Hi all,

Just to update on our last meeting. We have decided and confirm on the dates.

Departure
Singapore - Siem Reap
Jetstar, 15/09/2011, Thursday, 1450hrs (SGD 125)

Return
Phnom Penh - Singapore
Jetstar, 20/09/2011, Tuesday, 1815hrs (USD 65 = SGD 79)

Payables per person (not inclusive of flights)
Hotel/Transport/Guide = < SGD 250
Tickets/Temple Entrance Fees = < SGD 105

Total: Flight SGD 204 (no excess baggage) + Hotels SGD 250 + Temples SGD 105 = SGD 559

*The total price does not include personal spending eg: lunch/dinner (breakfast and water provided), shopping.
** The price is still NOT finalized and MAY be cheaper because this is based on 7-8 person thus it's more expensive on our accommodation.

I am thinking of applying Visa On Arrival. Any idea if there is any issue with that? If so then I will apply online.

Hi one of my friend is also interested in joining this trip. Wanted to check if any slot is available. Please reply soon.
