When: 24August, 7pm-10pm
What: event coverage...there'll be fashion show, pple clubbing, partying etc...
Where: will be told to confirmed photographers
what to delivery: Only digital images in CD
requirement: DSLR, capable of getting clubbing atmosphere, great control of flash.
$: I am also not paid, I am told that they needed more photographers so i suggested bringing in 2. take it as chance given to shoot in club.
copyrights: belong to photographer

thk u for giving chance.

thk u.........:bsmilie:

So you want us to work our butts of in one of the hardest shooting environments in singapore, and then give you all the pics for free?

Sounds like a great deal, thanks for the offer!

:bsmilie: if there is unlimited free flow of drinks, im sure a lot of photographers will be PM-ing you

Hahaha free again! Really don't understand why people like to come here ask for free photographers? Really thanks them for giving us a good "chance"!

I like the way you say it. :bsmilie:

I guess by now quite a few photogs would have emailed him

wats more this is coming from a 'pro' photographer....:bsmilie: :bsmilie: :nono:

Thanks for the chance!!! I'd like to take it up :)

ya know, some times, people are just being nice. some people really do want a chance to try and tikam a shoot like that. Portfolio sake. Wugui81pg can always choose to not take up this job and offer another 2 positions. But the fact that he did would probably entitle him to his his own reasons for doing so. So why not leave this thread alone if ya unhappy or pm him for the job to try out?

Regards.

If u are in anyway unhappy with what i have just said, please take it to me in pm. thanks

Whats more, he isnt even asking for an amatuer,
requirement: DSLR, capable of getting clubbing atmosphere, great control of flash.

Most people wont be able to do this, and especially for free!

Dont take this the wrong way, but I dont care if your not paid, thats not my fault, however if you want decent pics, then you will have to pay.

Maybe the club also let all their customers in for FREE for that nite? So the club earns nothing as well.

Anyway the use of flash in a clubbing environment requires skill on the part of the photographer.

And since the copyright belongs to the photographer, does this mean that the club cannot use the photos in anyway without the permission of the photographer? Then what is the point of giving them the softcopies in CD? :dunno: Enlighten me pls.

You have already given them free pictures. And without any proper black and white on who owns the copyright, they can always claim that you have already given them the pictures and as such constitute that they can use the pictures.

here we go again, well at least he's not charging the photographer for the opportunity to shoot :bsmilie:

Not really. If there is no black and white, and base on this thread where the thread starter have already stated in black and white, that the copyrights belongs to the photographer, the thread starter himself, the club owner or the event org will have no ownership of the copyright. The copyrights belongs to the creator of the image which is the photographer.

Emmmm........... this is starting to sound good after all !!! Shoot for them, than after that when they use your images, ...........

You have a good point, you could charge them for the CD or to use the images or sue them when they use the images without your permission. But I doubt they will pay for them, even if you refuse to give them a CD afterwards as its stated in the first post that its for free.

Wow .... how i wish i can be given the chance to learn and shot at such condition
but ... but ...

Anyway, if i was selected, i am not the main photographer also mah .... and i was there to learn lor, if i at the end cannot produce any single photo, ... then now ? will i get sue? but i am FOC lor ? can anyone advice ?

But the tread starter say 'capable of getting clubbing atmosphere, great control of flash' not sound like let me go learn ler .... What they want is FOC professional cameraman ler, how? ...

Agree. That's my point too.

One of my pics recently appeared in a local magazine in a 'paid assignment'. As they have not paid, copyright still belongs to me. Give them some time and if nothing received...can take legal action.
