Hello everyone, I'm the guy who took the job. And even though I am a freelance photographer, I took this job not because of the money, but for something else more important, and that's networking and connections. Look, we are all photographers here, and we all know that especially in SG, the market is very small and competitive. As a 2-year freelancer, breaking into the market is a tough thing. There are so many seasoned and better photographers than me out there who have been doing this longer than I have. I'm not going to BS anyone, but this is a known fact: Either I was going to have an ego and try to "make it" in this industry on my own, or I could start by humbling myself and taking on small jobs and making important connections, which will lead to potential gigs that will pay well and according to what my expected rates are. That's how the most successful photogs out there have done it, and if knocking on doors, sending out emails and doing small gigs got them started and to where they are today, then I'm going to do the same. Granted, this is not really a well-paying gig, but the TS already stated that this is a non profit organization, which means they usually have a tight budget or really small budget. And yes, I have seen ridiculous ad postings here where some people want to engage photogs but do not want to fork out money, but there are also genuine cases, and this is one of them. Just putting my 2 cents. Apologies if I've offended anyone.
